The true Splash Brother
A few games ago, this group of fringe NBA players looked like they had no business on the court. Since then, the narrative of this Wizards team has changed drastically.
After two straight (somewhat convincing) wins, the Wizards could be emerging as a threat to win the whole thing. However, to do that they'll have to get past the summer league's leading scorer first.
I have absolutely no idea why a player of Seth Curry's caliber hasn't had more stability this far into his young NBA career, but his 25 points per game average this summer shows that he's out to change whatever perception coaches around the league have of him.
Curry (like his brother) possesses a vast array of offensive moves, so I can't envision Scott Machado or any other guard on the roster staying in front of him. It will be interesting to see if Washington's coaching staff opts to stick Kelly Oubre on Curry, given how effective he's been defensively. Oubre's length and quickness might frustrate Curry just enough to limit his effectiveness.
They keys to this game are simple. If Washington can find a way to slow down Curry, they'll be advancing to the next round and Jerrid Famous will be celebrating his 27th birthday in style somewhere on the Las Vegas strip.
