The summer of 2016 is going to be all about Kevin Durant, as he enters unrestricted free agency. But as we've learned over the past few weeks, the summer of 2015 has been all about about Kevin Durant as well.
The madness started when the Wizards traded up in the 2015 draft to select Kelly Oubre, who is tight with Durant. Their other offseason moves are keeping the dream alive. Every player the Wizards have acquired through trade and in free agency are on one years that preserve max cap space for a run at Durant next summer.
If you thought the madness would stop before it affected the Wizards' roster the Vegas Summer league, think again. As it turns out, every single player on the Wizards' Summer League roster, which was finalized on Thursday night, has ties to the 2014 MVP. Here is the full roster along with how their presence on the team helps the Wizards as they try to lure Durant back to his hometown.
- Damion James - Was part of the same Texas recruiting class as Kevin Durant. James said KD "inspired" him after he was cut by the Hawks in training camp in 2012 to keep fighting for a spot in the NBA.
- Kelly Oubre - As we already mentioned, Oubre and Durant are tight. They have a "great relationship" that we're sure will only improve once they're co-workers next season.
- Dez Wells - Yep, Dez Wells has posed for an Instagram post with Durant too.
- Traevon Jackson - Big fan of Durant.
Oh my gooooodnesssss!!!!!!! Kevin durant why u gotta do em like that

- Orlando Johnson - Served as a counselor at the Kevin Durant Nike Skills Academy in 2011.
- Shawn Jones - Jones was named the Conference USA player of the year in 2014. Kevin Durant also won a conference player of the year award when he was in college.
- Toure' Murry - Murry was on the Wizards roster for a couple weeks late last season, where he was teammates with Drew Gooden. Gooden was also a member of the 2009 Spurs, where he was teammates with Anthony Tolliver. Tolliver once had his knee rubbed by Michael Beasley, who is a childhood friend of Durant. So Murry and Durant are best buds, more or less.
- Jaleel Roberts - Robers has the same first name as Jaleel White, the star of the hit show Family Matters. As we learned during Kevin Durant's MVP speech, family really matters to Kevin Durant so having someone who reminds him of the man who portrayed Urkel only helps the Wizards here.
- Jamil Wilson - Before signing on with Marquette, Wilson was recruited by the Texas Longhorns. Texas coach Rick Barnes compared Wilson to...Kevin Durant.
- Aaron White - Last summer, White was invited to participate in the Kevin Durant Skills Academy in Washington D.C.
- Scott Suggs - Said he liked Kevin Durant in a 2008 interview.
- Scott Machado - Supported Kevin Durant's bold stance against people who felt he didn't deserve an All-Star spot last season.

- Jarrid Famous - Like Kevin Durant, Jarrid is Famous.
