Top 5 Wizards and Mystics Stories for the week of May 31, 2015

Let's recap the rainy week with some of the main storylines and features we had.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

This week has been a wash because of all the rain. But we needed it. And here are the top stories for the week.

1. The Wizards host draft workouts at Verizon Center

Notre Dame star Jerian Grant headlined Monday's workouts while William & Mary's Marcus Thornton headlined Tuesday's.

We also have our annual Community Mock Draft where we have gone through the first four picks, so feel free to vote on who you would select if you're in the GM's shoes.

2. Evaluating the impact of Bradley Beal's season and his upcoming extension

Umair explains all about it here. It is part of our postseason player evaluations. On that note, we also have a series on player evaluations, starting with Will Bynum's.

3. The Wizards will play the Raptors in Montreal this preseason

If you're a Wizards fan living in Quebec, you won't want to miss this. Click here to read more.

4. Most of the Warriors' roster could have been drafted by the Wizards

Jake explores one of the biggest What-ifs in recent memory. That said, the Wizards themselves are doing just fine.

5. The Mystics start their season on the road where they play the Connecticut Sun at 7 p.m.

You can watch on WNBA LiveAccess. It costs $15 for the season, but it's also free for the first few days as well. We have a hub for the Mystics as well so click here to get to it. And for more WNBA coverage, check out SB Nation's Swish Appeal.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!
