Earlier this week, celebrity chef José Andrés tweeted this out to Paul Pierce, who has to decide whether to accept a $5.5 million player option to play for the Wizards next season, opt out to play for another team (like the Clippers), or retire:
.@paulpierce34 if you stay with us @WashWizards Sir one more season I personally will cook for you,1 night a month..

I'm not the biggest foodie on the planet, but if you don't know chefs by their name, you may at least know Andrés' premium restaurants. He owns over 10 with his organization, ThinkFoodGroup, including Jaleo and Zaytinya, which are both just blocks from the Verizon Center. Since Pierce is a millionaire, I'm sure he can eat there on his own dime whenever he wants so it's not like he absolutely needs tapas or else.
Let's also remember that Andrés is a big time Wizards fan. He regularly attends games at Verizon Center, and he will save your life if you choke on some bratwursts at the VIP Courtside and Coaches Clubs. So, when a fan and business owner is offering something like this, maybe it is a little harder to pass up than at first glance.
