The Wizards are 5-0 in the postseason. 5-0! Basketball pundits from all over the country and the world are taking notice, and former Wizards players are also proud to see what's developing in the nation's capital.
Former Wizards star Gilbert Arenas has been well known for his support of the Wizards on his Instagram page. Here's what he posted after the Wizards' Game 1 win over the Hawks:
And here's the quote:
Yall will start listening too me.....fuckers live in fantasy world...HAWKS are a GOOD team..not a dominat team...no star..no killer..no go too player lastb5 mins...GREAT team for reg season..WIZnation they just dont get it....hawks are SOFT...lennox Mall soft......wiz game 1
I don't know if I'm going to call the Hawks just a "good" team, but the Wizards definitely played like they did in the first round after sleepwalking in the first quarter. Also I don't get why he mentioned a mall as being "soft."
In addition to Arenas, another former Wizards player showed John Wall, Bradley Beal and company some love. Caron Butler also added this on Twitter:
Those Wiz kids looking good #DMV#100

Since Butler currently plays for the Pistons and is still under contract with them in 2015-16, I'll give him a pass for not celebrating as enthusiastically as Arenas. Nevertheless, it's definitely a good thing to see that Wall's and Beal's predecessors are also giving their approval of the Wizards' postseason run.
