Notes

As noted above, the Wizards' game tonight will be on CSN Plus instead of the main channel because the Capitals are playing the Ottawa Senators at 7 p.m. on the road. The game has significant impact for the Caps' Stanley Cup Playoff seeding aspirations since they haven't officially made the postseason just yet. If they win in regulation tonight, they will clinch a postseason berth. Currently, Washington has the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs where they have 96 points. Ottawa has only 90 points and is 9th in the Eastern Conference, so expect them to play their hearts out tonight. Hopefully, our guys win.

Ted Leonsis has mentioned this in previous blogs, but one of his goals is to see all three of his teams win championships. Obviously, there's work to be done for all of them to get there though all of them have made the playoffs multiple times during his tenure as their owner.

But if the Caps can take care of business tonight, it would be the first time that the Wizards and Capitals would have made the playoffs in the same season since the 2007-08 NBA and NHL seasons. That would be pretty sweet.

So let's go Wizards and let's go Caps!
