Video: Wizards honored at Capitals playoff game

New, comments

John Wall and company give their support to the Capitals during their first round series-clinching win over the New York Islanders on Monday.

On Monday, the Washington Wizards had the day off, but they didn't spend the day sleeping in or playing video games all morning, noon, and night. Instead, many players went back to Verizon Center to watch the Washington Capitals play in a do-or-die Game 7 against the New York Islanders in their first-round playoff series. The Caps won, 2-1.

Monumental Network's Hayley Milon had a chance to interview John Wall, Garrett Temple, Rasual Butler, and Marcin Gortat in a video that is embedded above, or click here. You also can see the video of the Wizards getting recognized during the game -- where Paul Pierce high-fived a fan -- is embedded below, or click here.

I know that we're just in the middle of playoff basketball and hockey season, but seeing the Wizards and Capitals both playing in May is still so surreal.
