The Top 5 Wizards stories of the week for April 19

Playoff basketball, here. we. GO!

Peter Llewellyn-USA TODAY Sports

We are in the last full week for April. Let's take a look at which stories were dominating the headlines surrounding the Wizards with playoff basketball in full swing.

1. The Wizards are 2-0 in their series vs. the Raptors

You knew that already. Last Saturday, the Wizards won Game 1, 93-86 in overtime. Then last Tuesday, the Wizards raced to a 117-106 victory in Game 2 -- and this game wasn't as close as the final score indicated. We have a whole section dedicated to playoff material so check it out if you missed something.

2. Monumental Sports ownership group's divided about which games to attend

The Wizards' and Capitals' seasons occur during the same times of the year. With both teams in the playoffs for the first time since Monumental Sports has owned both teams outright, the ownership group has had to pick and choose which games to attend.

On Tuesday, Ted Leonsis was among the owners who attend the Capitals' road win over the New York Islanders in Game 4 of their first-round Stanley Cup Playoff series. Minority owner Richard Kay (in his dapper Washington Bullets jacket) was among another group of owners who traveled up north to see the Wizards Game 2 win over the Raptors. They all arrived back to Dulles Airport at around 12:55 a.m. on Wednesday, tired, but ecstatic. They took a group photo before calling it a night. Check it out from Ted's Take.

3. OTTO PORTER IS BALLIN'!

Umair wrote this excellent piece on Porter coming into his own during Game 2 when he scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds off the bench.

4. Gilbert Arenas is the Wizards' Troll-in-Chief

Check out his Instagram and Jake's commentary here.

5. That KD translator...

Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks was let go after they missed the playoffs this season. Kevin Durant wrote a post in support of Brooks, but Jake found out what was REALLY going on....

Extra: Caps steamroll the Isles in Game 5, one win away from advancing!

On Thursday, the Capitals destroyed the Islanders, 5-1 in Game 5 of their playoff series. Here's the recap from SB Nation's Japers' Rink.

That's all I have. Enjoy Game 3 of the Playoffs.

Go Caps and Wiz! I want to see both teams in Round 2 of the Playoffs!
