It's been a historic year for the Wizards, both good and bad. Let's rank each game during this wild season, from worst to best.
82 - FEB 20, 2015 - Cavaliers 127, Wizards 89 - This loss had everything: Getting blown out at home, getting blown out by a rival, and being reminded that you're not quite on the level of the NBA's best. If John Wall hadn't stolen the ball from Kyrie Irving when he tried to walk the dog, we would have gone to a very, very dark place after the game. That play almost made the game bearable. But still, this was clearly the worst loss of the season.
81 - FEB 27, 2015 - 76ers 89, Wizards 81 - Have you ever had a sinking feeling in your stomach for two hours? That's what it was like watching this game.
80 - FEB 25, 2015 - Timberwolves 97, Wizards 77 - Losing to the Timberwolves is bad. Losing to the Timberwolves because you only scored 77 points? Shut it down.
79 - APR 14, 2015 - Pacers 99, Wizards 95 (2OT) - The Wizards said they had a salty taste in their mouth about how the Pacers eliminated them from the playoffs last year going into this game. Maybe they were just dehydrated.
78 - NOV 26, 2014 - Cavaliers 113, Wizards 87 - Not only were the Wizards blown out by the Cavaliers here, but they were blown out by the Cavaliers before they were good.
77 - MAR 22, 2015 - Kings 109, Wizards 86 - In hindsight, defense was the problem here. Asking to hold the Kings to 85 points shouldn't have been too much to ask here.
76 - NOV 07, 2014 - Raptors 103, Wizards 87 - After a blazing hot start to the season, this was the first sign that maybe things weren't quite as good as their record indicated. Also, this was Glen Rice Jr.'s last game, so that's a bummer.
75 - FEB 11, 2015 - Raptors 95, Wizards 93 - In hindsight, giving crunch time minutes to Drew Gooden here may have been a mistake.
74 - MAR 23, 2015 - Warriors 106, Wizards 77 - The Wizards may have had a shot here if they had made more than one field goal in the third quarter.
73 - MAR 25, 2015 - Pacers 103, Wizards 101 - We love Martell Webster, but he probably wasn't the right guy to put on George Hill in a final possession situation.
72 - JAN 31, 2015 - Raptors 120, Wizards 116 (OT) - The Wizards' record looks better if you only count their record against teams from the good ol' USA.
71 - DEC 23, 2014 - Bulls 99, Wizards 91 - Somehow, this was the only game where Derrick Rose looked like 2011 MVP Derrick Rose.
70 - DEC 21, 2014 - Suns 104, Wizards 92 - After starting the season 19-6, the Suns showed up to remind the Wizards they weren't quite as good as the teams right outside the playoff hunt in the West.
69 - JAN 16, 2015 - Nets 102, Wizards 80 - Jarrett Jack solidified his case as a first ballot member of the Wizards Killer Hall of Fame.
68 - JAN 11, 2015 - Hawks 120, Wizards 89 - Going into this game, people thought Washington might be on the same level as Atlanta. No one felt that way after the game.
67 - FEB 02, 2015 - Hornets 92, Wizards 88 - Ugh.
66 - FEB 05, 2015 - Hornets 94, Wizards 87 - Double ugh.
65 - DEC 07, 2014 - Celtics 101, Wizards 93 - This game looks worse when you realize the Celtics still had Rajon Rondo at this point.
64 - FEB 22, 2015 - Pistons 106, Wizards 89 - All but four of the Pistons' 106 points came in the paint, at the free throw line or from beyond the arc. It's almost like the Pistons refused to take what the Wizards gave them defensively.
63 - MAR 03, 2015 - Bulls 97, Wizards 92 - Otto! Otto! Wake up! Otto!
62 - MAR 07, 2015 - Bucks 91, Wizards 85 - Khris Middleton is still open.
61 - JAN 24, 2015 - Blazers 103, Wizards 96 - Apparently, LaMarcus Aldridge only needed one hand to beat the Wizards.
60 - FEB 04, 2015 - Hawks 105, Wizards 96 - Yep, still not as good as the Hawks.
59 - DEC 30, 2014 - Mavericks 114, Wizards 87 - It's not a trip out West without one game that's a blowout by halftime.
58 - JAN 02, 2015 - Thunder 109, Wizards 102 - Kevin Durant reminded the Wizards why they want him so bad.
57 - JAN 03, 2015 - Spurs 101, Wizards 92 - The Spurs reminded the Wizards why they're not on the Spurs level.
56 - NOV 19, 2014 - Mavericks 105, Wizards 102 - This loss doesn't look as bad when you realize this was the pre-Rondo trade Mavericks.
55 - MAR 29, 2015 - Rockets 99, Wizards 91 - Turns out James Harden is pretty good.
54 - JAN 21, 2015 - Thunder 105, Wizards 103 (OT) - Seeing Paul PIerce hit a clutch three was nice. Seeing Kevin Durant posterizeMarcin Gortat and watching Russell Westbrook streak to the cup for the game winning layup was not as nice.
53 - JAN 28, 2015 - Suns 106, Wizards 98 - As it turns out, players get tired when they play four games in five nights on the West Coast.
52 - NOV 25, 2014 - Hawks 106, Wizards 102 - Yep, Hawks are still good.
51 - APR 10, 2015 - Nets 117, Wizards 80 - Considering all the Wizards' starters played except John Wall, maybe it's now safe to conclude John Wall is not the Wizards' fourth-best player.
50 - APR 15, 2015 - Cavaliers 113, Wizards 108 (OT) - You're not going to win many games with Kevin Seraphin and DeJuan Blair playing fourth quarter minutes.
49 - FEB 24, 2015 - Warriors 114, Wizards 107 - The Warriors are pretty good.
48 - MAR 20, 2015 - Clippers 113, Wizards 99 - Considering how well the Clippers closed the season, this was a pretty solid effort out of the Wizards. Poor Matt Barnes is still spinning.
47 - OCT 29, 2014 - Heat 107, Wizards 95 - It's still baloney the Wizards had to play this game with Nene.
46 - MAR 06, 2015 - Wizards 99, Heat 97 - The Wizards blew 34 points of a 35 point lead in this one. Arguably one of the worst victories in team history. But a win is still better than a loss, so it ends up here.
45 - NOV 15, 2014 - Wizards 98, Magic 93 - This was a very boring win that led to no free chicken or pizza.
44 - MAR 12, 2015 - Wizards 107, Grizzlies 87 - Thanks for resting your starters.
43 - APR 12, 2015 - Wizards 108, Hawks 99 - Thanks for resting your starters.
42 - DEC 16, 2014 - Wizards 109, Timberwolves 95 - John Wall just toyed around with the Zach Lavine here. Really painful to watch if you were a T-Wolves fan.
41 - FEB 28, 2015 - Wizards 99, Pistons 95 - After bungling a chance to beat the Pistons in Detroit, the Wizards had to get this win and they did. Barely.
40 - MAR 27, 2015 - Wizards 110, Hornets 107 - If you had told us after the game this wouldn't be the most depressing double overtime game of the season, we would have cried, and we did when we found out it wasn't.
39 - APR 01, 2015 - Wizards 106, 76ers 93 - It's the Sixers.
38 - JAN 19, 2015 - Wizards 111, 76ers 76 - It's the Sixers.
37 - DEC 14, 2014 - Wizards 93, Jazz 84 - Solid win against the pre-Gobert Jazz.
36 - OCT 30, 2014 - Wizards 105, Magic 98 - It was closer than you'd expect, but everyone filled their role here and lifted the Wizards to a win in the Magic's home opener.
35 - NOV 12, 2014 - Wizards 107, Pistons 103 - Other than letting Bradon Jennings score 32, solid effort here.
34 - FEB 09, 2015 - Wizards 96, Magic 80 - Yeah, beating the Magic isn't all that great, but John Wall put on a great show.
33 - NOV 22, 2014 - Wizards 111, Bucks 100 - Be honest, you don't remember anything from this game.
32 - NOV 05, 2014 - Wizards 96, Pacers 94 - Yay, more overtime basketball against the Pacers.
31 - JAN 17, 2015 - Wizards 99, Nets 90 - It wasn't pretty, but a win is a win, especially after getting throttled by the same Nets the night before.
30 - NOV 04, 2014 - Wizards 98, Knicks 83 - It's the Knicks.
29 - JAN 07, 2015 - Wizards 101, Knicks 91 - It's the Knicks.
28 - APR 03, 2015 - Wizards 101, Knicks 87 - It's the Knicks.
27 - MAR 09, 2015 - Wizards 95, Hornets 69 - Holding the opposing team to 69? nice
26 - JAN 27, 2015 - Wizards 98, Lakers 92 - It's the Lakers.
25 - DEC 03, 2014 - Wizards 111, Lakers 95 - It's the Lakers.
24 - DEC 05, 2014 - Wizards 119, Nuggets 89 - John Wall didn't dominate the statsheet, but he was in complete control here. It was a great showing if you're into watching players casually dominate opposing teams.
23 - DEC 27, 2014 - Wizards 101, Celtics 88 - One of those rare wins where the Wizards showed up, did what was expected, and didn't make things too complicated.
22 - JAN 25, 2015 - Wizards 117, Nuggets 115 (OT) - Winning in Denver isn't easy, especially when Paul Pierce literally hands Ty Lawson a chance to extend the game. Somehow, the Wizards survived.
21 - NOV 08, 2014 - Wizards 97, Pacers 90 - One of those rare wins where the Wizards showed up, did what was expected, and didn't make things too complicated.
20 - DEC 19, 2014 - Wizards 105, Heat 103 - It turns out Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole can't really stop John Wall. Who would've guessed?
19 - FEB 07, 2015 - Wizards 114, Nets 77 - Seriously, can you believe the Nets made the playoffs?
18 - NOV 01, 2014 - Wizards 108, Bucks 97 - You know things are going well when Otto Porter gets MVP chants.
17 - MAR 14, 2015 - Wizards 113, Kings 97 - It started out ugly, but the Wizards' monstrous second-half comeback here was a thing of beauty.
16 - DEC 01, 2014 - Wizards 107, Heat 86 - It turns out Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole can't really stop John Wall. Who would've guessed?
15 - MAR 18, 2015 - Wizards 88, Jazz 84 - It got messy at the end, but the Jazz played like a playoff team after inserting Rudy Gobert into the lineup. Don't sleep on how good this win was.
14 - NOV 29, 2014 - Wizards 83, Pelicans 80 - One of the best defensive performances of the season. If you thought Anthony Davis would run wild against the Wizards without Nene, you were wrong.
13 - APR 04, 2015 - Wizards 92, Grizzlies 83 - Sure, the Grizzlies have been on a bit of a downslide as of late, but for a team that was desperate for a quality road win before the playoffs, this was a positive step.
12 - JAN 05, 2015 - Wizards 92, Pelicans 85 - After dropping three straight, the Wizards showed nice resolve picking up a win on the road against Anthony Davis & the Pelicans.
11 - DEC 25, 2014 - Wizards 102, Knicks 91 - It's the Knicks, but on Christmas.
10 - MAR 16, 2015 - Wizards 105, Blazers 97 - John Wall probably didn't have to dive into the stands like he did late in the game to seal this one, but it was nice to see him committed to ensuring the Wizards didn't blow their 25 lead.
9 - APR 08, 2015 - Wizards 106, 76ers 93 - It's the Sixers, but they had the most effective shooting night in franchise history, even with John Wall resting. Gotta give props where props are due.
8 - DEC 10, 2014 - Wizards 91, Magic 89 - Bradley Beal alley-oop for the win? Bradley Beal alley-oop for the win.
7 - JAN 09, 2015 - Wizards 102, Bulls 86 - What's better than beating the Bulls?
6 - JAN 14, 2015 - Wizards 105, Bulls 99 - Beating the Bulls twice in the same week, that's what.
5 - JAN 13, 2015 - Wizards 101, Spurs 93 - You don't get a chance to say you beat the Spurs every decade.
4 - DEC 12, 2014 - Wizards 104, Clippers 96 - For one night at least, John Wall outplayed Chris Paul.
3 - DEC 29, 2014 - Wizards 104, Rockets 103 - The Wizards beat the Western Conference's second-best team on the road.
2 - NOV 21, 2014 - Wizards 91, Cavaliers 78 - LOL better luck next time, Cleveland. (NOTE: They won the next three, but let's not talk about that when we can bask in the glow of this win.)
1 - DEC 08, 2014 - Wizards 133, Celtics 132 (2OT) - You probably remember this as the game that made you love John Wall at a level you never thought you could love an athlete you'd never met in your life.
