Good news: John Wall is getting the proper recognition that comes with being an All Star Game starter.
Bad news: The NBA's annual release on the NBA's most popular jerseys should serve as a reminder that Wall still has a ways to go to reach true superstar status. Here's how Wall fared this season:
- LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers
- Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
- Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers
- Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder
- Derrick Rose, Chicago Bulls
- Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers
- Tim Duncan, San Antonio Spurs
- Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks
- Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat
- Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers
- Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers
- Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder
- John Wall, Washington Wizards
- Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks
- Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers
Seeing John Wall ahead of Chris Paul is an amazing improvement for Wall. At the same time, it's a bit disheartening to see he's still behind guys like Wade and Duncan, who have had the same jerseys for years, and guys like Rose and Lillard, who didn't even make the original All Star rosters this season.
