The Washington Wizards' 117-80 loss to the Brooklyn Nets was bad enough. But according to CSN Washington's J. Michael, there is more bad news. Nene suffered a right ankle injury, and his plantar fasciitis has returned.
Nene told m twisted rt ankle tonight. Fasciitis flared up too. Looks likely to sit again #WizardsTalk @CSNWizards #NBA #WizNets

If that wasn't enough, Garrett Temple also suffered an injury setback on his right hamstring earlier this week and will miss at least another two weeks. Therefore, he will miss the remainder of the regular season.
Setback for Garrett Temple (rt hammy). Re-injured it. Not working out. Wont play rest of reg season #WizardsTalk #NBA #WizNets @CSNWizards

Temple is a better defensive player than most on this team, and he can be a factor on offense when his three-point shot's falling. However, the Wizards do have Otto Porter and Martell Webster to fill in the void, so losing him isn't the end of the world.
The news regarding Nene however is troubling. The Wizards can't afford to be without the Big Brazilian during the playoffs due to his presence on both ends of the floor. If they play the Chicago Bulls in the first round, he is their biggest weapon against defensive stalwart Joakim Noah. Here's to hoping that both Nene's and Temple's injuries aren't serious enough to keep them out of the playoffs completely.
