TheAlumRun is an event held nationwide for college and university alumni and others to run on scenic courses in major cities. On Sunday morning, they will run in D.C. This will affect your travel to Washington this morning if you travel by car or bus.
From an email sent to Wizards season ticket holders on Saturday night, here are the streets that will be closed:
- form on Pennsylvania Avenue between 12th and 13th Street, NW
- east on Pennsylvania Avenue to 3rd Street, NW
- south on 3rd Street to Maryland Avenue, NW
- southwest on Maryland Avenue to Independence Avenue, SW
- west on Independence Avenue to 7th Street, SW
- U-Turn prior to 7th Street, SW
- east on Independence Avenue to 4th Street, SW
- south on 4th Street to D Street, SW
- east on D Street to 3rd Street, SW
- south on 3rd Street to U-Turn prior to Virginia Avenue, SW
- •north on 3rd Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
- •west on Pennsylvania Ave to 12th Street, NW (finish and disband)
- **Some runners will repeat the race route to complete the 10k

The 5K run started just a few minutes ago (8:30 a.m.) while the 10K run will start at 9 a.m. There will be a Future Alumni Fun Run at 10:30 a.m.
