Even though the Wizards-Grizzlies game has been a foregone conclusion for most of the third quarter, things got testy late in the third quarter of tonight's game. Both teams exchanged some rough fouls against one another, which finally culminated with Kevin Seraphin trying to stop Jon Leuer on this fastbreak.
Seraphin was given a Flagrant 2 for the foul, which is an automatic ejection.
By itself, the foul doesn't look terrible. There have been harder fouls that haven't led to ejections. But given the testiness building up to this play, you can understand why the referees would rather be too excessive than too lenient.
