Here's the recap roll:
Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reported that the Wizards weren't happy with the officiating of the game. Randy Wittman was not happy that the Wizards were called for 27 fouls while the Raptors were only called for 16.
John Wall was more diplomatic. From the piece:
"Man, I’m used to it by now," said Wall, who finished with 19 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds in 41 minutes. "Just play basketball. We can’t let the refs dictate it. They made some tough calls that put us in situations where I felt like we played good defense and had an opportunity to get out on the break and have a chance to win. But we didn’t compete the whole game and we never should’ve put ourselves in that position."
Speaking about Wall, he wore Nike shoes AND also made a free throw in the face of a flashing dinosaur.

Yes, the Wizards aren't too far off from the eighth seed in the East. But the bulk of the teams in the East who are ahead of the Wizards are just that much further ahead as well.
New Year's Eve Food Specials
No Egg McMuffin because the Wizards were losing 27-28 at the end of the first quarter, and they lost. Does that mean no food specials? Not necessarily because the Capitals were playing.
The Capitals won 5-2 over the Sabres at Verizon Center last night however, so you will get a #WIZ50 from Papa John's on this New Year's Eve. However, you still won't get an Egg McMuffin because they were losing 1-0 when the first intermission started.
That's all I have. Enjoy your Thursdays everyone and see you next year.
