Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Bullets Forever!

From all of us, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy Holiday!

Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate, and to everyone, we wish you a happy holiday on this Friday! We hope you enjoy your time opening your gifts, eating a nice dinner, and quality time with your families.

For your holiday viewing pleasure, we've re-embedded the Wizards' holiday video above, which is a parody of a movie trailer for the 1990 Christmas Movie Home Alone. Kelly Oubre played the role of Kevin McAllister, kinda. Jake has additional analysis because it's how he rolls.

Speaking about that Home Alone movie, Macaulay Culkin reprised the role of Kevin McAllister in the present day on ":DRYVRS," a YouTube web series. It's a darker take on Kevin's adulthood to say the least. (NSFW language in case you're at work today)

After watching this video, we'll never look at Home Alone the same way again.

More Monumental Holiday Cards

The Mystics' holiday card shows Mike Thibault as Santa Claus reading to Tayler Hill, Tianna Hawkins, and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt. Hill and Hawkins had children in the last two seasons, so the babies paid close attention to Santa as he read their Holiday Story.

Our reaction to this video is pretty simple: if Thibault grew a full beard, he could actually pass as Santa Claus during this time of year!

The Capitals' holiday card is a parody of A Christmas Story which was released in 1983. It features Alex Ovechkin in a pink bunny costume, Michael Latta (who is NOT Ivory's brother) licking a pole, and Hockey Hall of Fame/former Capital Rod Langway as Santa Claus.

It's a funny take on a 30-plus-year-old show, but for a more detailed analysis, Russian Machine Never Breaks' Rachel Cohen can break down the action better than we can.

Christmas Day Basketball

The Wizards won't be playing Friday. But there are five games on tap from the early afternoon through the night.

  • New Orleans Pelicans at Miami Heat, 12 p.m. ET (ESPN)
  • Chicago Bulls at Oklahoma City Thunder, 2:30 p.m. ET (ABC)
  • Cleveland Cavaliers at Golden State Warriors, 5 p.m. ET (ABC)
  • San Antonio Spurs at Houston Rockets, 8 p.m. ET (ESPN)
  • Los Angeles Clippers at Los Angeles Lakers, 10:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)

Feel free to use this space as your GameThread for all of today's games.

Once again, have a great Christmas Day everyone!
