Wizards vs. Mavericks postgame thread: Porter and Wall lead Washington to 114-111 win that's too close for comfort

This game really should've been a blowout.

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

The Wizards scored 39 points in the third quarter to build a sizeable 90-72 lead. Otto Porter scored 17 of his 28 points in that period on 7 of 8 shooting:

And he made a lot of plays, even when John Wall's passing wasn't totally on point

To be fair, Wall continued to be the franchise star, alpha-dog, red power ranger that we all know he is.

THE MAN SCORED 26 POINTS AGAIN! AND HE DISHED 16 MORE ASSISTS LIKE THIS!

He also knows a thing or two about imitating other point guards

or teammates:

or other D.C. basketball players. Yeah, it's easy to call this a Stephen Curry-esque three, but I'd like to say that Wall picked this up from Ivory Latta, who led the WNBA in three-pointers made for each of the last two seasons.

Yes, the Mavericks went on a 13-0 run to make this game WAY TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT, but the Wizards got this win, and 50 percent off your pizza at Papa John's for Sunday.

Recap's coming shortly.
