The Wizards had a late lead in the game but lost 109-103 to the Rockets last night. James Harden played like an MVP, scoring 42 points on the night. All five Washington starters scored in double figures, including John Wall who scored 26 points and Marcin Gortat who had 18 points in his first game back after traveling to Poland last week for a family emergency.

Besides our recap, take a look at some others around the web:
Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post wrote a column today on the Wizards' inconsistency, especially at home where they are just 4-7.
There are disagreements on whether the Wizards are too soft when playing at the Verizon Center. Wittman stated that they were "too cool, too soft" unlike last season when Washington was 29-12 at home during the regular season. Wall, however, disagreed. Here's his quote from Castillo's piece:
Well, I ain’t soft, and I know my teammates ain’t soft. Just comes down to playing with a sense of urgency.
The bottom line is that Washington isn't getting the job done, and they need to gain consistency quickly before this season is truly lost.

Others of you disagree.
Either way, Beal will be a highly coveted restricted free agent.
Where do we go from here?
The Wiz Kids head down to the Bayou to play the Pelicans on Friday. It also kicks off a four-game road trip against Western Conference opponents who are not pushovers.
God help us all.
