Kelly Oubre fined $15,000 for obscene gesture after Beal's game-winning shot

New, comments

Welcome to the NBA, Kelly Oubre. Your first lesson: Save your celebrating for the locker room. The NBA announced Friday afternoon for making an obscene gesture with 0.3 seconds left in Wednesday's Wizards-Spurs game, according to USA Today's Jeff Zillgitt.

So what did Oubre do to earn the fine? Well, it had to do with complimenting Bradley Beal on the courage it took to make such a critical shot in the game, if we're putting it politely (vine via David Malitz):

YEP that'll do it. 66 seconds into his NBA career and Kelly Oubre has already lost $15,000.

Obviously, this wasn't the way Oubre wanted to make his first headline as an NBA player, but if nothing else it teaches him a valuable lesson: Cameras are always watching. Don't grab anything you wouldn't grab if thousands of people were watching.
