From time to time, there are some things which take precedence over your job. Perhaps it is a family event. Or maybe it's a cause that you're passionate about.
John Wall did both of those things earlier Saturday when he attended the Light the Night D.C. walk for Miyah Telemaque-Nelson, his young friend who passed away to lymphoma last year. Check out the tweets below:

I expected that Wall would play against the Bucks earlier today. After all, he is focused on making sure that the Wizards build upon last season's 46-36 campaign. But it is also a great thing to see that Wall is taking part in a cause for a person who he considers as part of his family.
