Wizards vs. Knicks GameThread

Welcome home boys.

It's a nuclear winter for Knicks President Phil Jackson. That said, he's building this team for the future, albeit with Carmelo Anthony as the centerpiece.

Notes

The Wizards are back home for the first time in 2015. The Knicks are an even bigger mess than they were last Christmas. Carmelo Anthony has a knee injury and some wonder whether he should just sit out the rest of the year.

They also made a big trade where they dealt Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith for Lou Admundson, Alex Kirk, and a second round pick from the Cavaliers; as well as Lance Thomas and a draft from the Thunder. They also have some large trade exceptions given that Smith and Shumpert are gone. I doubt that the Knicks will be able to do much with those exceptions, but who knows.

If you are checking the standings, the Knicks are actually the worst NBA team right now, NOT the 76ers who are 5-28 and have lost 12 straight games.

The Wizards have some catching up to do right now, given that the Atlanta Hawks are still winning like crazy, while the Bulls have silently crept up to the #2 spot in the Eastern Conference and they're coming up on Friday. Let's take care of business tonight folks and win it for GRJR!
