The Wizards' 2014-15 preseason schedule is out

It'll begin against Derrick Rose and the Bulls in eight weeks.

Rob Carr

There are officially 56 days (exactly eight weeks!) until we'll see the Washington Wizards play basketball again. Start the countdown!

The preseason schedule is out and it begins with a tasty one by preseason standards: October 6 at the Chicago Bulls. That should be the first NBA game in a while for Derrick Rose, though he'll have his feet wet from playing for Team USA (probably). It'll also illustrate a weird statistical quirk: Wall and Rose have only played each other four times in Wall's first four seasons because of injuries.

The Wizards will also be at home for three straight games from October 12-20. The Wizards had only two true home preseason games last season.

Here's the full schedule:

October 6, 8 p.m.: at Chicago
October 8, 7 p.m.: New Orleans (in Jacksonville)
October 10, 7 p.m: Charlotte (in South Carolina)
October 12, 1 p.m.: Detroit
October 15, 7 p.m.: Maccabi Haifa
October 17, 7 p.m.: Charlotte
October 20, 7 p.m.: New Orleans (in Baltimore, Baltimore Classic)
October 22, 7:30 p.m.: at New York
