UPDATE: According to Frank Isola, the Wizards-Knicks Christmas Day game now appears to be going down at Madison Square Garden, instead of the Verizon Center. Oh well. At least you still have something to watch on Christmas.
FYI: that Knicks-Wizards game, tentatively scheduled for Dec. 25, will be played at MSG (The House that Irving Azoff Built.)

It's early August, which means most NBA news is starting to wind down, save for the occasional leak about the upcoming 2014-15 NBA schedule. Leaks like this:
I'm hearing Knicks are tentatively scheduled to spend Christmas with the Obamas, John Wall & Paul Pierce.

If true, that's a big step up for a team who didn't play a single regular season game on national TV last season. It would be the Wizards' first appearance in a Christmas Day game since 2008, which they earned through the attention they received from the LeBron-DeShawn Stevenson feud. Furthermore, this would be Washington's first Christmas home game since 1982, when they hosted the Atlanta Hawks.
Seeing the Wizards host a Christmas day game would be exciting for a number of reasons, but the biggest is probably to see if the Wizards can ride their pony, Bradley Beal, against the Knicks again.
