Glen Rice Jr., Otto Porter, and the Washington Wizards are now the Quarterfinals in the Vegas Summer League. Next up? The San Antonio Spurs. Here's a quick preview:
Time: Approximately 10 p.m. ET at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. If earlier games get into overtime, etc., the start time could be considerably later.
Will it be on TV? Yes, it will be on NBA TV. The game will be online through NBA Summer League Live only if you want to watch it through streaming video.
What's at stake? A berth in the 2014 Vegas Summer League Semifinals. The Semifinals are Sunday, and the championship game will be on Monday.
Which notable players are on the Spurs' roster? Austin Daye and Jeff Ayres were on the 2013-14 team which won the NBA Finals. San Antonio's first round pick, Kyle Anderson will also be playing. Daye is leading their scorers, averaging 14.2 points a game. On Thursday, they defeated the Utah Jazz, 86-77, and went on an 11-2 run to close out the game and get the win.
Who wins? With Glen Rice and Otto Porter playing the way they have been, I'm leaning Wizards.
