If you were hoping the Wizards were going to be able to get through the off-season without some suspense, you were wrong. As if the big questions surrounding free agency aren't enough, Nene made things a bit more interesting today when he told reporters on Monday he will be heading over to Spain to play in the 2014 FIBA World Cup.

As you may remember, Nene aggravated a foot injury in 2012 while playing in the London Olympics. The injury forced him to miss the first ten games of the following season, during which the Wizards went 0-10. Certainly, some fans won't like Nene's descision, but with the 2016 Olympics on the horizon, it's hard to fault Nene for wanting to give what he can to get Brazil's basketball program in the best possible position ahead of the games.
