On Monday, the Washington Wizards announced a list of events, giveaways, and guests who will be at their official viewing party for Game 2 on Tuesday, April 22, and their home games on Friday, April 25 and Sunday, April 27.
Game 2, Tuesday, April 22, 9:30 p.m.
Viewing party - The Wizards will have a viewing party at Grevey's in Falls Church, Virginia. The Wizard Girls, G-Man, and the Power Pack entertainment team will all be there as the Wizards make this a 2-0 series over the Bulls. Grevey's is owned by Kevin Grevey, who was part of the 1978 Bullets NBA World Championship team.
Game 3, Friday, April 25, 8 p.m.
The giveaway - As Ted Leonsis announced earlier, red, white, and blue #dcRising T-Shirts are the giveaway. They are designed by CustomInk and sponsored by GEICO, which is the team's presenting partner of the first round.
Fans in each of the three levels will wear a different color shirt. 100 level fans have red shirts, 200 level fans have white shirts, and 400 level fans have blue shirts. Here they are below:
I kind of wish that they would alternate the red, white, and blue scheme between neighboring sections. On television, viewers won't be able to see all the fans wearing their respective colored shirts unless the cameras are showing a view of the entire arena.
New game operations elements - There will be a new #dcRising flag, and fans can participate in the Wizards' opening video, as long as they have the Wizards' mobile app, which is on the Apple and Google App Stores.
Pre-game events - Mr. Peter Parker of WPGC 95.5 FM will broadcast his show live from Verizon Center from 4 p.m. until tip-off.
Game 4, Sunday, April 27, 1 p.m.
The giveaway - GEICO Rally Towels! Every fan will get one to wave at critical moments, but I don't know if they will be in different colors or not.
Pre-game events - Washington Mystics rookies Stefanie Dolson and Bria Hartley will sign autographs prior to the game. They were the Mystics' first round picks in the 2014 WNBA Draft which was held on April 14.
No Steve Buckhantz and Phil Chenier - If you are watching the game on television, you only can do so on ABC. Comcast SportsNet will not air the game.
