The Wizards sign 10-year-old point guard Amaris Jackson for Saturday's Bucks game

This past Thursday, April 10, the Washington Wizards signed Amaris Jackson, a 10-year-old point guard to a one-day contract for their game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, April 12. Jackson is suffering from renal cell carcinoma. She plays for her school's basketball team.

This was done in conjunction with the Make-A-Wish Foundation's Mid Atlantic Chapter. Jackson will take part in the team's shootaround and lead the team on the court for warm ups. This is a really nice thing to see from the Wizards organization and the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help make a sick child's dream come true.
