Revisiting the Wizards-Cavaliers backcourt debate

It's only been a few games, but one team seems to be winning the debate over who has the best backcourt.

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

Tell us, dear readers, which player would you have rather had on your squad Tuesday night.

Player A

15 points on 6-28 shooting from the field, 1-5 on threes, 2-2 from the free throw line, 5 assists, 1 rebound, 4 turnovers

Player B

17 points on 5-10 shooting from the field, 4-7 on threes, 3-4 from the free throw line, 2 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 turnovers

--------------------------

I'm guessing you'd take Player B over Player A, right?

Player A is the combined efforts of Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters.

Player B is Garrett Temple.

So, to recap: Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters can't even outplay the Wizards' third-best guard, much less the House of Guards (when healthy). Glad that debate is settled!

(DISCLAIMER: Yes, this is trolling in its purest, most unabashed form. Also, the Warriors are undefeated this season and Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are averaging 55 points per game right now. Maybe they should be talked about a little more often as the NBA's best backcourt. Just a thought.)
