Drew Gooden III started in place for Nene in the third quarter.
Nene has been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis before with the Wizards, most notably during the end of the 2011-12 season soon after he was traded in a deal with sent JaVale McGee to the Denver Nuggets. He played for Team Brazil during the 2012 Olympics in London, where he re-aggravated that injury.
We will keep you updated with more information, such as how long he would be out when it is available.
