It took less than four minutes for things to get chippy in the Wizards' first preseason game. It started when Paul Pierce bumped Jimmy Butler on the break in an obvious FIBA-style foul. Joakim Noah didn't like that, and so he told Pierce so afterwards. Tom Thibodeau (!) had to clear the two players away.

Pierce quickly picked up two more fouls after being called for only a common foul and had to sit. This team is a lock to lead the league in altercations.
