I'm not sure if you guys knew this, but this Bradley Beal fella might stick around for a while. He might even be good at this here basketball thing. I mean, broken limbs aside, he can do fun things like [literally everything fun on a basketball court].
And that Otto Porter gent. We may not have seen much out of him last season, but that big ol' question mark of a rookie became a lot less of a question mark as we saw him contribute good (but spot) minutes in the playoffs and look like a real basketball player during Summer League.
So on those notes, the Wizards decided they were both worth additional money. To the Press Release machine!
Washington Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld announced today that the team has exercised the fourth-year contract option on Bradley Beal and the third-year contract option on Otto Porter.
"Bradley and Otto are both big pieces of the core group of players that we will build around as we continue to improve our team," said Grunfeld. "We look forward to them playing significant roles in our success both now and in the future."
I also look forward to that, Ernie. And I think everyone on this here website does, too.
UPDATE: You know what would have been helpful? The money.
Beal’s option is for $5.7 million and Porter’s is $4.6 million. #Wizards

That's how much they're getting paid. Not too shabby.
