John Wall has been invited to the dunk contest

Could the Wizards' star be in the big game and the big Saturday night event? We'll find out soon.

It's already great that we'll see John Wall partake in the 2014 NBA All-Star Game after the coaches voted him in yesterday. Might we end up seeing a whole lot more of him throughout the weekend?

Perhaps. The Wizards' star was apparently invited to participate in both that and the Skills Competiton and is deciding whether he wants to do either. Via J Michael of CSN Washington:

Have you been asked by the league to participate in the dunk or skills contest on Saturday before the game itself?

Yes, both I'll make decisions tomorrow or sometime next week. They have asked me. I'm not sure. I don't know what I'll do yet. I'm shocked after the news I got tonight so I can't even tell you.

Wizards fans have a complicated relationship with the dunk contest, stemming from an incident a couple years ago where a person jumping over a low-rise car of the event's sponsor with a choir in the background somehow defeated an adversary that slammed home three balls at once and two balls into different baskets. The wounds are still fresh.

But still, it'd be fun to see Wall throw a bunch down.
