Brooklyn Nets resting every key player vs. Washington Wizards

Having locked up the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference, the Brooklyn Nets will sit almost all of their key players against the Washington Wizards on Monday. Here's the amusing injury report from Howard Beck of the New York Times:

In case that's not visible, Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez, Reggie Evans, Keith Bogans and Jerry Stackhouse are sitting. The Nets will start C.J. Watson, MarShon Brooks, Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries and Andray Blatche.

As noted before, Trevor Ariza, Martell Webster and Nene will all sit for the Wizards. Basically, it's John Wall, Emeka Okafor, Wallace and a bunch of bench guys.

This obviously hurts the Wizards' chances to secure as high a draft pick as possible. As noted in this morning's post, the Wizards will land somewhere between sixth and ninth in the lottery standings depending on the final two games.
