The Wizards' long road trip will conclude in Orlando on Friday night against an Orlando Magic team that long ago packed it in. In years past, this would have been a tankapalooza battle for the ages, but the Wizards seem interested in actually finishing the season strong. Let's preview this baby.
Where and when? Tip off is at 7 p.m. in Orlando.
Are they good? They were for a two-week stretch in December. That one was fun.
Who's out? Since it's a game between two sure lottery teams in late-March, lots of players. Arron Afflalo and Glen Davis are essentially out for the season, while Nikola Vucevic is unlikely to suit up with a concussion sustained a while back. Andrew Nicholson also might sit out. A.J. Price and Bradley Beal are out again for the Wizards, while Nene, Martell Webster, Trevor Ariza and Jason Collins are all game-time decisions.
Why should I care? Because you believe the NBA is a better product than college basketball and don't want to give the NCAA a dime of your metaphorical money on principle.
What are they good at? The Magic are actually tricky to defend because they go to such small lineups. Tobias Harris and Maurice Harkless have been fun over the past few weeks.
What are they bad at? Everything else.
