Bradley Beal injury: 'My wrist is bothering me'

Bradley Beal admitted that he's still feeling the effects of a hard fall in the Wizards' win over the Nuggets.

Bradley Beal has not closed this West coast road trip as well as he began it. After two fantastic games against the Sacramento Kings and Denver Nuggets, Beal averaged just nine points on 39 percent shooting in the final three games against the Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz.

What's wrong with Beal? Is this just a regression to the mean after a torrid stretch in late-December and early-January? Is this just a blip on the radar?

According to Beal himself, it might have to do with the hard fall he took late in the Wizards' win over the Nuggets. Beal bounced off the floor after a cut to the basket and it looked bad, but he ended up staying in the game. However, he said Wednesday that he's still feeling some pain in his wrist.

Via Michael Lee of the Washington Post:

"It was my wrist, it was really bothering me," Beal said. "I can't use it as an excuse. If I'm out there playing, I have to be doing something. I got to make my shots and free throws, because they're free. I've got to do better."

With two home games coming up this weekend, it might be best for Beal to take a night off, or more, to get his wrist right.
