Nene 1, EpicVale 0 links:
- The Wizards picked up their second road win of the season, 112-108, over the Nuggets, who entered the game with a 15-2 record at home. Nene and JaVale McGee didn't have the kind of games they'd likely envisioned against their old teams, but John Wall knotched a double-double and made a game-saving block, Bradley Beal scored a team-high 23 points (including two clutch, tough free throws late in the game) and Kevin Seraphin came up enormous in the second half. - McGee hasn't been all that the Nuggets hoped for when they traded for him eight months ago. Then again, if they were expecting the him to be one of the best post players in NBA history, well, joke's on them, I guess. [Us | Ball Don't Lie]
- Dave Johnson caught up with Nene before last night's game to discuss his return to Denver. [WashingtonWizards.com]
- The Wiz play again tonight against the Clippers, who only sport the second-best record in the NBA (you could flip the Wizards' 8-29 record, and they'd still be a game behind the Clips). Tonight has "moral victory" written all over it, but then again, so did the Nuggets game. Plus, Christ Paul might not play. #positivethoughts [Clips Nation | AP]
- BNIE explains why Wednesday's loss to the Kings was not a moral victory.
- Touché, Ted. Touché. [Ted's Take]
- In case you missed Wall's crossover of Ish Smith last week, watch it again and remember what it signified. [Truth About It]
- Has Beal's play over the last month-and-a-half vaulted him into the ROY discussion? [RantSports]
- Catching a game at Verizon Center is an objectively awesome experience...a Caps game, that is. Also, Fred Smoot still doesn't understand why D.C.'s basketball franchise is nicknamed the Wizards. [DC Sports Bog]
- The subtext was pretty clear yesterday when Andray Blatche said he was happy the Nets maintained their 'loyalty' to him last week when he became involved in a sexual assault investigation. [NY Daily News]
- Who should be the All-Star backups? [SB Nation | ESPN | Ball Don't Lie]
- There are currently nine NBA players averaging 20 or more points per game. Five years ago, there were 27 (!!!). What happened? [TrueHoop]
