Gilbert Arenas and John Wall played only 12 games together when they both were members of the Washington Wizards. Now, they could play a 13th, though it won't be an actual regular-season game. Both players are on the preliminary rosters for the Goodman League Roundball Classic on August 19, according to Dan Steinberg of the DC Sports Bog.
The event is the offspring, so to speak, of last summer's Goodman League/Drew League showdown that featured stars like Kevin Durant, Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, James Harden and Brandon Jennings. This event is supposed to feature Durant (though it's not confirmed), Wall, Arenas, Ty Lawson, Shelvin Mack, Josh Selby, Sam Young, Dante Cunningham and R&B star Chris Brown ... at least for now. Players often cancel on these kinds of things at the last minute.
The event will take place at the Henry A. Wise Jr. high school in Upper Marlboro. It'll be preceded by an AAU game and will include a musical performance by Wale. Here's how to get tickets.
