You all remember James Singleton, right? He was a throw-in to the 2010 trade that sent Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood and DeShawn Stevenson to the Dallas Mavericks, but emerged as a cult favorite due to his hustle and personality? From the sounds of it, he's coming back.
This from the official account of ASM Sports, which represents Singleton.
Congratulations to James Singleton who has signed with the @WashWizards!! #TeamASM

I've yet to see anything that indicates what kind of contract Singleton will receive, but the Wizards had an open roster spot after releasing Hamady Ndiaye and obviously need another big man with Nene and Trevor Booker out.
Singleton had been playing in China, but the season was over, so he was free to sign back in the US. He left for China in the summer of 2010 when the Wizards were unwilling to meet his asking price.
Welcome back, James.
UPDATE: The Wizards confirmed the news in a press release. Singleton is signing a 10-day contract.
