With every new addition comes some departures, and in this case, the two Wizards departures are ones that we've spent many pixels discussing. I'm not going to lie: I'm going to miss Nick Young and JaVale McGee. I won't miss them out of some sadistic joy of enjoying being the butt of the Internet's jokes. I'm going to miss them because they really are good, fun people that provided some fun memories amid the losing.

We forget sometimes that basketball, and sports in general, are entertainment. Of course I'd like it more if Young and McGee were more consistent, but they provided plenty of laughs during their time here. They also had some fun on-court moments, from all of McGee's dunks and blocks to those nights when Young had it going and carried the team to a win. Maybe I won't miss all the inconsistency, but I'll miss cheering for these guys and hoping they put all the pieces of the puzzles together.
Now, they'll both be in new environments with much less pressure to succeed. The Nuggets don't need McGee to be a franchise building block, and the Clippers certainly don't need Young to do much more than hit threes and defend. Whether either player can fare better in a limited role remains to be seen, but it's a good, unique challenge for both of them after too much was probably expected of them in D.C.
Anyway, I've rambled enough. What's your favorite memory of Young and McGee in D.C.?
