Washington Wizards Midseason Player Evaluation: Rashard Lewis

New, comments

We've reached the very midway point of the 2011-12 season, which is kind of refreshing given that the All-Star Break usually signifies the 60-percent mark of the year. As such, we'll be running midseason evaluation threads for each player on the team over the next several days. Next up: Rashard Lewis.

SYNOPSIS: It's hard to quantify just having someone around who knows what they're doing with a roster like this, but Lewis' on-court game has completely fallen off the map. As much as the Wizards keep trying to get him to play more like he did in Seattle, he just doesn't have the legs or spirit for it anymore. The only reason one could argue that he play as much as he does is that there really isn't anyone better, but his minutes are probably better served going to young players that have a future with the team.
