Well, at least one former No. 1 overall pick will be playing in tonight's Wizards-Hornets game. Anthony Davis, who has missed the Hornets' last 11 games with an ankle injury, has been cleared to return to action for tonight's game, according to Jimmy Smith of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Davis has missed New Orleans' last 11 games with a chronic ankle problem. The Hornets went just 2-9 with him on the sidelines, including four losses by at least 15 points.

Davis returned to practice on Monday, and coach Monty Williams said then that he was very close to returning to game action. Via the New Orleans Times-Picayune:

"He's been cleared for contact and is ramping up his conditioning. He practiced a little bit, but again (we) have to wait until tonight or tomorrow to see how he feels," Williams said Monday. "He has been working with Coach Carlos (Daniel).''

Davis will come off the bench, according to Williams.

It remains to be seen if Williams will make a different change. Williams said Monday that he is considering benching Xavier Henry, who has started the last two games at small forward.
