Jordan Crawford will be available to play for the Washington Wizards when they take on the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, coach Randy Wittman confirmed during shootaround. Crawford sprained his ankle in the fourth quarter of the Wizards' loss to the Celtics on Saturday and had been limited in practice, but he had been very outspoken about his desire to play.
Crawford suffered the injury after absorbing a hard foul from Jeff Green on the break. He went back to the locker room, returned to the game for a period, then was taken out for the final minute and a half. After the game, Crawford said he planned on playing in the team's next game.
It sounds like Crawford will again be coming off the bench. He scored 21 points and helped bring the Wizards back into the game on Saturday, but it doesn't look like Wittman is contemplating a lineup change despite the early struggles of Bradley Beal.
