Sad Thanksgiving links:
- The Wizards suffered their most excruciating loss of the season the day before Thankgiving, because of course they did, falling 102-101 in overtime to the Hawks after Martell Webster's game-winning putback attempt was ruled to have left his fingertips a microsecond too late. And that was after the Wiz left Kyle Korver, only about the last person in the entire league that you leave open in the final seconds with a two-point lead, open for a go-ahead three-pointer. It almost sounds too horrifying to be true, but then Wizards. Enjoy your turkey. - Game highlights. [WashingtonWizards.com]
- Postgame player interviews. [Nene | Seraphin | Webster | Beal]
- Hey, at least Nene was back, and the team looked completely different (for the better) with him on the floor. [CSN Washington]
- If you're a Wizards fan and a masochist (are there any other kind?), you can't do better than a GIF of Webster's almost-game winner. [Us | Pro Sports Daily]
- Oh wait, you could also watch Korver's actual game-winner again and again. [Peachtree Hoops]
- See, Tony K understands that only the masochists are still watching the Wizards at this point. [DC Sports Bog]
- This kid is the greatest. [Wizards Extreme]
- Bradley Beal actually sounds genuine when he says that today he's most thankful for being a member of the Wizards. Give it time Bradley... [DC Sports Bog]
- More depressing analysis of the Wizards' league-worst offense. [The Point Forward | Sports Network]
- Mike has been unpleasantly surprised by Trevor Booker this season.
- Nick Young is still swaggy and seducing fans. [Liberty Ballers | Ball Don't Lie]
- Speaking of Swaggy P, the Wizards had two all-star chuckers last season. Only one remains. Guess which Grant Lowe thinks is an actual useful NBA player? [Grantland]
- The Wizards' next game is Saturday against the Bobcats, who have been playing good ball without Gerald Henderson, their captain and best scorer Sounds like he's still about a week away from returning from a sprained foot. [Charlotte Observer]
