Trevor Booker injury: Wizards' F to undergo MRI for knee strain

The Washington Wizards may be without Trevor Booker on Wednesday night.

The Washington Wizards can't afford to have any more injuries at this stage, but it appears they do. Forward Trevor Booekr, who recently lost his starting spot, will undergo an MRI for a knee injury, according to coach Randy Wittman. His status for Wednesday's game against the Atlanta Hawks is still in question.

Via Ben Standig of CSN Washington:

"He went to have an MRI when we started," Wizards coach Randy Wittman said following practice. "He had some soreness today but obviously he wasn't here at practice, missed today.

Booker suffered the injury coming down on a layup attempt late in the Wizards' 96-89 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Monday night. He has gotten off to a poor start this season, though he did grab eight rebounds and supply his usual aggression against the Pacers. If he cannot play, I would imagine we'll see Earl Barron get a few more minutes.
