The Washington Wizards will kick off their 2012 preseason schedule with a date against the Charlotte Bobcats at 1 p.m. today ... and there won't be anyone in the D.C. area that will be able to watch it. Since today also features a couple of minor games involving two other teams in the region, this Wizards game won't be shown on TV or broadcasted on the radio. Priorities, people. Get it together.
Still, we'll have a game thread, where you can discuss ... anything, I guess. Whatever you want, really.
As for the game itself, I wouldn't read much into Randy Wittman's starting lineup. He said earlier in the week that he doesn't want to make a final decision on his opening-day five until opening day. Until then, he's going to test some things out and see what combinations stick. I would expect to see a lot of Jordan Crawford and Bradley Beal together, because Wittman will want to see whether that tandem is a viable one for the first month of the season. Just don't make the mistake of thinking that the lineup we see starting today is the lineup that'll start against the Cavaliers on opening night.
GO WIZARDS!
