With the No. 6 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, the Washington Wizards have selected Jan Vesely. A Euroleague veteran out of Partizan Belgrade, Jan Vesely projects to be the small forward matchup from hell on offense once he finds his shooting touch. His off-ball movement and ability to finish at the rim should make him an effective slasher who isn't afraid of contact, yet can play with his back-to-the basket. Those off-ball instincts and nuclear-powered motor make him an aggressive offensive rebounder who can get back down the floor fast enough to keep opposing teams honest. His defense is a work in progress, but apathy will not be an issue. The man brings emotion on the floor and is exactly the kind of player to foster the culture we're looking to build. Your Czech has cleared.
