Report: Enes Kanter 'In Conversation' For Washington Wizards If They Get No. 1 Pick In NBA Draft

This news from ESPN's Chad Ford should make Rook very happy. A "well placed" source tells Ford that if the Washington Wizards get the No. 1 pick in tomorrow's NBA Draft lottery, Enes Kanter would "be in the conversation" to be the player selected.

He still might have a chance to go No. 1 overall if the Washington Wizards get the No. 1 pick. While we currently have them taking Derrick Williams No. 1 in our Mock Draft Lottery, a well-placed source said Kanter would be in the conversation.

That's pretty amazing to think about, and if true (which is a big if -- a lot of Ford's information comes from agents who have an agenda), it shows that the Wizards may value Kanter highly even if they don't get the No. 1 pick.

Personally, I really like the idea of Kanter, but I have some doubts about his year off and whether he has enough size to be everything he wants to be in the pros. But there's no doubt that this team needs a player like Kanter, if not Kanter himself.

And hey, the world wants the Wizards to get Kanter too.
