Note: Andray Blatche will be coming off the bench tonight so that they may monitor him. Nick Young, Rashard Lewis, Josh Howard, and Trevor Booker are all out.
Your Washington M.A.S.H unit returns home tonight to take on the darkest force the NBA has ever witnessed. Fresh off an embarrassing loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, complete with LeBron James being refused entrance to his old digs, the Miami Heat march into D.C. tonight looking to salve their wounded egos with a thorough thrashing of what is left of your Washington Wizards.
We should take a brief minute to give an appreciative golf clap to Trevor Booker, who exits the stage after an impressive rookie campaign. As Trevor leaves to a round of applause, we also welcome back Andray Blatche, who was last seen writhing on the floor in pain during the Milwaukee game. I'm not sure what the Wizards have to do to escape the injury bug, but Ted Leonsis and company might want to consider hiring an exorcist, because this is four straight years where the Wizards have been dismantled due to various ailments.
A bit more information about Trevor Booker's injury, via the Wizards Press Release (Booker is also getting a second opinion):
Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld announced today that Trevor Booker has sustained a fractured sesamoid bone in his right foot. Booker will be placed in a walking boot and will be re-evaluated in six weeks.
Everyone gets up for Miami so I would not be surprised to for the game to be close, at least for a little bit. As Flip noted in the pregame, how you start is how you finish.
GO WIZARDS!!!!
