Wizards drop 15th in a row, 103-87 to Utah Jazz - Michael Lee, Washington Post
The Wizards still went out to play a game against the Jazz, a Western Conference playoff contender, but the result was what could've been expected. They lost their 15th consecutive game, 103-87. "I told our guys, 'We're playing teams right now that have more talent than we have,' " Saunders said after the Wizards (21-51) lost their fourth game this month by at least 15 points.

Jazz rout reeling Wizards - Ross Siler, Salt Lake Tribune
The Jazz sent the Wizards to their franchise-record 15th consecutive loss, winning 103-87 at Verizon Center to bounce back following Friday's loss at Indiana and head home 2-1 from their final Eastern Conference trip of the season. "Everybody thinks these games are real easy," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said. "These are tough games. They're playing a lot of different guys, trying to find out what they've got and you never know what you've got to deal with. To get away with a win was important to us."

After the latest loss, Saunders was asked if he’s stepped back and thought about all the team has been through. "If I did, I might not be here," Saunders said, joking. "It’s Murphy’s Law right now. All we can do is try to keep on fighting."

Jazz 103, Wizards 87 - Craig Stouffer, Pick & Roll
The only thing that's changed is now that Gilbert Arenas has been sentenced - and not to any jail time, which cements the fact that the Wizards can't and won't try to void his contract - his name isn't taboo in the locker room any more. "Picture if we had Gil," said Blatche. "Picture if we had Josh Howard on this team. It’d probably be a completely different team. We’re just missing one more piece. All the games we’re losing, it’s not like we’re going every night getting our tail whipped. We’re losing by a couple points. If we had Gil to take over in the fourth quarter, bam, that’s a different story for us. We’re just missing another piece, and once we get that other piece, I think we’ll be great."
