I'm trying to prepare myself for the snowstorm that's going to hit tomorrow, but I just wanted to pass along the news that Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee have been suspended for tomorrow's game against the Spurs for "conduct detrimental to the team." That conduct, of course, was getting into a fight outside a D.C. club on Thursday night.
The team announced the news in a statement.
"After further investigation into an incident on Thursday night, we concluded that Andray and JaVale conducted themselves in an unprofessional manner," said Grunfeld. "As a result, both players will be suspended for tomorrow's game at San Antonio."
That seems to indicate that something relatively serious happened that night. It's still not clear exactly what that is, but regardless, neither player should have put themeless in that position. It's definitely the kind of incident that raises questions about the players' general off-court conduct.
