Flip's Pregame Notes

  • Andray Blatche is active for tonight's game. He was participating in pregame drills without any obvious discomfort.
  • John Wall went through morning practice without any trouble, but remains a GTD for tonight. He will not be starting regardless of whether he can play tonight.
  • Josh Howard is at most a week away. He will go see a doctor next week to clear him to play.
  • JaVale McGee will return to his starting role.
  • Mike was with me at Flip's interview and asked about JaVale's failed dunk at the end of the Sacramento game.

Flips response: "I think that signified that game."

Mike and I are at the game tonight. The Wizards come off a rough road trip and are running straight into a streaking Knicks team. Flip noted that in order to beat the Knicks you need to make them one dimensional. You can't let Stoudemire wreak havoc in the paint and also allow the Knicks to shoot form the perimeter.

As you may have heard, Spike Lee will be in the building tonight sitting next to Ted. Flip plans to obscure his view the entire game.

It will be an uphill battle tonight, but with the Lakers coming to town next, I think the Wizards might manage to snatch one here.

    GO WIZARDS!

UPDATE: WHOOPS, John Wall will be playing tonight according to PR. And he will be starting.
